About Infiniti Cars

With over 230 dealers in more than 15 countries, Infiniti is Nissan’s luxury vehicle division. Sales started officially in 1989 in North America after which it was recently introduced as an individual brand in its homeland (Japan) in 2013, that too with a hybrid powered variant of the famous Infiniti Q50. Sales for this started in 2014 with gasoline engines. However, the first Infiniti brand vehicle (Q45) was introduced in Japan, sold as Nissan Infiniti Q45 from 1989 to 1996.

The car maker has seen a lot of change since inception. Infiniti models do have direct equivalents in the Nissan line-up of the Japanese domestic market. The company moved its headquarters from Yokohama where it has its global headquarter in the Nissan Corporate building to Hong Kong, incorporated as Infiniti Global Limited. Primarily manufacturing cars in Japan, Infiniti has started to manufacture cars in China and England.
