Honda Accord Review

The 2013 Honda Accord is ranked at the 7th position in the 20 most affordable midsize cars segment. Honda Accord is designed to appeal a wide range of midsize car buyers with its special power-train lineup and state-of-the-art interiors. The new Honda Accord is a new generation sedan redesigned to include a more dynamic, bold, and charismatic looks to capture the heart and soul of higher end car buyers. The sedan has included more style, additional comfort, and even more sophistication in it. The new look of the Honda Accord 2008 is geared to attract the E-class segment. The exteriors are much better compared to its earlier versions and the new model offers smooth contours. The long-stretch headlights featuring bold tough lines extending up to the hood makes the Accord look even more appealing. The chrome Honda logo is located in the middle. The car includes front as well as rear fog lamps which are located in specially constructed 3D style slots. The protectors are properly placed in all the four sides for safety without compromising upon its classy exterior looks.

However the remodeled design does not offer anything exception when compared to its earlier variants and models. Honda Accord variants are available with two different engines – 2.4L and 3.5L V6 engines. The DOHC I – VTEC engine variant is available with a 2.4 L engine. It is highly fuel-efficient and provides a hassle free performance with 180 PS power at 6500 rpm, and a maximum torque capacity of 222 Nm at 4300 rpm. The Honda Accord is very good for its size, and is a quick sedan. The premium segment sedan has a capacity to seat five passengers. The exterior dimensions are – Length: 4950mm, Width: 1845mm, and Height: 1475mm, with a wheelbase measuring 2800 mm. The ground clearance is 155mm. The variant is available in beige color interiors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power lumbar support, luxury four spoke with aluminum color panel, leather steering wheel, front center armrest with multifunctional console, and leather gear knob.

While considering its acceleration, Honda really does it well by kicking the engine revs sky high when you need to overtake vehicles on the highway. Variants with a V6 engine and six speed manual as well as automatic transmissions are also available. The CVT variant is fuel-efficient with its four-cylinder engine offering 27 miles per gallon in the city and 36 miles per gallon on the highway. The brand new suspension and power steering invites mixed reviews, with some car enthusiasts preferring other Honda variants in the sedan segment. The Accord is ultra smooth as far as driving is concerned, and is reliable, but the steering is slightly sluggish and not up to mark. If reliability is the primary requirement, the Accord is one of the best cars in its class. It is very spacious and comfortable, and features many amenities and facilities than its rivals. Some of the new add on are a good resolution rear view camera and excellent hands-free text messaging capabilities. The Accord has increased in its value over the years with its current variant, and now offers high-end interiors as well as high-tech safety features.
