Earlier known as the GMC Division of General Motors LLC, GMC is American manufacturer GM’s American automobile division. The car manufacturing company is popular for military and sport utility vehicles along with commercial and pickup trucks. The company is popularly known for its trucks and SUVs. Having created a brand among consumers, GMC continues to be a hot favourite for light duty to heavy duty truckers. It is also said that many of the GMC models look identical to Chevrolet models; except for the nameplates and grills.

Post 2000, the company has introduced various popular vehicles such as Acadia and Terrain. It also used to manufacture buses. GMC’s manufacturing locations are Saint Louis in Missouri, Pontiac in Michigan and Oakland in California.
