About Bugatti Cars

Now owned by the German automobile manufacturing group Volkswagen, Bugatti was earlier a French car manufacturer which was popular for manufacturing high performance cars. Bugatti cars are always known for their design and beauty, both clubbed together. Type 55, Type 57 Atlantic, Type 41 Royale and Type 35 Grand Prix were the famous Bugattis. The company was having financial problems and released the last model in 1950 after the death of its founder Ettore Bugatti in 1947.

Bugattis primary focus was always on design. After being acquired by Volkswagen in 1998, there were 2 concept cars made namely EB118 and EB218. The company started assembling Bugatti Veyron 16.4 which has an 8 litre W-16 engine in 2005. The car maker had several victories from 1921 to 1939 and also participated in 1956 Formula One race with Type 251. The company also used to manufacture airplane parts. The car manufacture is considered as one of the elite in its class.
